Strathearn Building Bridges

Building Bridges into a better quality of life for people with learning and other disabilities and their carers in Strathearn. Description . Purposes: • To provide a focus for community based initiatives to support people with learning disabilities and their carers, to enhance integration, reduce isolation and to increase community awareness. • To build bridges between local organisations (charitable, commercial and social) and with those with learning disabilities and their carers. • Encourage people who provide services to deliver support that actively responds to the needs of people with a learning disability. • To raise, or support the raising, of funds for local community based initiatives, which will be initiated, led and developed by those with learning disabilities and their carers. • To reflect the local priorities as expressed by those with learning disabilities or their carers in determining the services which should be supported or developed.
