About our cause

"This is our chance, and sometimes they only come once!" I have been given a once in a lifetime opportunity through Camps International to volunteer at 2 camps in Kenya for 4 weeks. Whilst we're there we will be working on wildlife conservation, building traditional homes in communities and improving schools in the local villages. The average life expectancy in Africa is only 50 years old. Less than 50% of the African population have access to safe, clean water. Most of the population in Kenya are living on less than £1 a day. So you can imagine that the conditions in which they're living must be pretty poor. Hopefully we will be able to make a difference when we're there and help families improve their living conditions. Also the beautiful wildlife in Africa is slowly dying out with elephants being the most endangered. If things continue as they are by 2030 there will be no more African elephants left. Conservation work is a big part of the expedition that we will go on and the work we will do will show local communities how they can make money from preserving the wildlife. The only thing standing in our way is the cost of the expedition and that's why we need your help!
