About this cause

About our cause

The Cheshire and North Wales Human Milk Bank was established in 2003 and is based at the Countess of Chester Hospital. On average we process 1000 litres of donated breastmilk each year. Our coverage for donors and recipients of human breast milk spans from Barrow in Furness to Cardiff and from Grimsby to Bangor.

We aim to have a regional service whereby all babies have access to donated breast milk irrespective of the location of their birth.
