About World Challenge Tanzania 2016 - Chloe Mcdonagh
Heading to Tanzania in the summer of 2016, to help set up and begin a new Operation Wallacea project. Will be going to the shores of Lake Malawi and the first week is spent working with a team of scientists who are looking at speciation in lakes whilst being based in the small community of Masoko. The second week will be spent at the Wildlife Management Area on the edge of Ruaha National Park, working with the long-term ecological monitoring programme to asses the impact of the WMA on game populations and ecosystem health. Our group will be living with the local community and so will get the opportunity to learn about the local traditions and culture and will hopefully establish meaningful links and long-term contact with the area.
