â€œCommunity Withinâ€¦â€ is a new initiative that has been especially set up by two local individuals who have recognised the need for the services that â€˜Food Awareâ€™ can provide to our local community. â€œFood Awareâ€ is a social enterprise based in South Yorkshire whose main aim is to divert perfectly edible surplus food that would otherwise be heading for landfill (solely for being the wrong colour, shape, size or date!) and distribute it to vulnerable and deprived communities and community-based organisations. We at â€œCommunity Withinâ€¦â€ have decided to provide this service for Families on â€œlow incomeâ€ & Pensioners by offering them a bag of surplus edible food for a suggested donation of &pound;1. All monies collected will be then re-distributed back into the community.
