About this cause

About our cause

Formerly known as Plumpton Backstreet Chapel. This small rural chapel is currently engaged in an exciting project to redevelop its premises into a retreat/rural studies centre. Through introducing "messy church and cafe style church" elements to our services and changing the service times, we have been able to promote a modern style of worship into our services, which has increased the congregation both in age range and numbers. Situated on the edge of the Brackenburgh estate their are immense opportunities for the premises to be used by Christian groups and others. We also hope to see the building used as a resource for the nearby villages of Plumpton and Calthwaite.

This ambitious development is a project of the Penrith Circuit in co-operation with the small local congregation.
