This summer I am taking on the challenge of climbing the highest free standing mountain in the world and the highest mountain in Africa, Mount Kilimanjaro. This is a colossal 5,895 m (19340 ft). I aim to push myself to the limits to complete this adventure to raise money for ChildReach International. The money will go towards improving the lives of children in Africa, including health care, education and general well-being. To date, challenges like mine have transformed over 300,000 childrenâ€™s lives! I'll also have the chance to meet the children in Tanzania so I can see where the money will go toward and I intend on carrying out further voluntary work when I'm out there to help these children in extreme poverty. Over the duration of 6 months I will be taking part in a variety of different events in order raise this sum of money, and I the idea of this group is to keep those interested updated with how the fundraising is going leading up to the challenge.
