World Challenge Ecuador is a 4 week trip organised by the World Challenge Youth Group. The trip is designed to help the community in Ecuador but also develop my skills as a youth. The 4 weeks each have there own purpose. Week 1 – The first week is named the acclimatisation week. This gives us the chance to adapt to our new surroundings, get used to our new terrain and start to build an understanding of the culture in Ecuador. Week 2 – This is the physical challenge week. The idea is to push us as challengers to our limits in order to teach us new skill. We have the option of climbing one of the mountains in the Andeans mountain range; we can trek through the terrain of Ecuador or even trek through the Cloud Rainforest. Week 3 – This is the week dedicated to helping the community or environment in Ecuador. We have the option to help a local community or complete some conservation work in the Cloud Rainforest. Week 4 – The final week is designed as a break for us. It is named the R&R week and it allows us to wind down and clean up before returning home. This would be a once in a life time experience for me as a challenger and it would be much appreciated if you could help me to raise the money I need for this trip.
