About Dartmoor Search and Rescue Tavistock
DSRT Tavistock receives no government funding at all and relies solely on donations to remain operational. The Team consists entirely of volunteers who are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. In addition to being on call, Team members have to fundraise throughout the year in order to raise the money needed to pay for normal operational costs, about £20,000 per year.
