Friends of East Renfrewshire Schools Music is a group which exists to raise funds to support the musical activities of all the children involved in the choirs, bands, orchestras and group lessons that take place across East Renfrewshire each week. Some 1,600 children take part in lessons either within their schools, at the Saturday Music School in Williamwood High School or at the Wednesday Band session in Carlibar Primary School. For example, we help to subsidise trips and provide loans of expensive musical instruments. We have also used funds raised in 2007 to produce our first CD!
It's simple to use and it's free. Since we launched in 2005, we've helped thousands of good causes raise money simply by shopping online. Our community of over 2.1 million loyal supporters has so far raised over £40 million.
