Glut1 Deficiency Syndrome is a rare genetic condition that affects brain metabolism, effectively stopping glucose reaching the brain. The classic symptoms are seizures, movement disorders,developmental delay and learning disability. Not all patients experience all symptoms. The only current treatment is a medically prescribed ketogenic diet. We aim to fund research into this rare condition and provide support to families who may struggle to find help elsewhere.
