We require funds to keep our venue running and for new equipment to help our young stars progress in our sport. We are based in Glasgow's East End which is a socially deprived area and we are currently recruiting from local primary schools. We have now around 40 members at the club with 30 more under 13's wanting to join from our visits to loacl schools, this means we require much more equipment and funds to take the children away to competitions like the British Schools and British Dev Cups. All our coaches are either CRB checked or in the process of doing so for the newly qualified coaches. We are affiliated to Both British Weight Lifting and Weightlifting Scotland and the Sports Council for Glasgow and we are currently working towards getting our Clubmark Award.
