About this cause

About our cause

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity and centre of excellence in training dogs to alert deaf people to important sounds and danger signals in the home, work place and public buildings. These include the doorbell, special telephones, cooker timer and so on, as well as the danger sounds of a burglar alarm or smoke alarm. The dogs - labradors, cocker spaniels, poodles and cockerpoos all share the ability to restore independence, security and cope with and enjoy life
