Yorkshire 3 Peaks 2014 - Help for Beardy

20-30 friends and family are doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge on 12 July 2014. We are fundraising for Anthony Beard, 35 yrs, who has this week been diagnosed with Poems Syndrome and will be starting radiotherapy in a few weeks time and chemo after that. It all started last June when Anthony had mumps which broke down his immune and nervous system which allowed infection into his body and destroy his blood. He was first diagnosed with polycythemia and neuropathy which has resulted in him not being able to walk with the aid of crutches and on severe days a wheelchair. After numerous visits to hospitals and doctors he has since been diagnosed with bone cancer of the shoulder. There are various fundraising events taking place and we all decided to do this 26 mile challenge to help Anthony and his family get through this difficult time with a little more ease financially with a specialised organic diet and visits to hospitals through the country, bills are a plenty.
