IntoUniversity works with children and young people aged 8-18 who are most at risk of failing to meet their potential due to economic and social disadvantage. IntoUniversity aims to address underachievement and social exclusion among young people by offering an integrated programme of out-of-school study, mentoring, aspirational coaching and personal support. IntoUniversity is an on-going and long-term service. At the heart of the programme is the belief that underachievement is best addressed in the context of a long-term pastoral engagement with young people where we can build their esteem and support their learning in order that they can reach their potential. We build relationships with young people at Year 3 and continue that support through university access and beyond. IntoUniversity is a centre-based service offered free of charge at specialist facilities located in the communities where client groups live.
