For my first project I will be working with a volunteer group called Turtle Trax. 
Their work involves monitoring and
protecting the sea turtles around the
coast line of the southern part of the
Nicoya peninsula. 

I will be taught the basic skills for
monitoring the turtles and collecting
the nests so as to be able to help out
with this essential work protecting them.

For my second project I will
choose to work with La Esperanza,
a volunteer group focusing on
children's education. The aim of the
project is to improve conditions in the
local government schools by doing
construction work and assisting with
teaching in the schools.

Project work will be a combination
of physical work, such as renovating
classrooms or building walls, and
spending time with the children,
helping with classes or running
sports activities.
