8, 000 miles away from the UK, the Coral Triangle is the world’s most diverse marine ecosystem. However, it also feeds over 120 million people who depend on it for their subsistence. Therefore, the area is facing numerous challenges. Donations will help Operation Wallacea recruit scientists and research assistants to collect scientific data over this 6-million km square area area with the final aim to find a balance between conservation and obtaining enough resources for local communities.
