In May 2013 Jamie was diagnosed with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy which results in his muscles being very tight in his legs. This means Jamie is unable to walk unaided. Jamie has been offered the opportunity an operation in order to reduce the tightness in his legs. Unfortunately the NHS don't fund the physio and aftercare which can take 2 years at a cost of £30,000. Without the proper rehabilitation, there is no point in Jamie having the operation.
