Over £35m raised for good causes through easyfundraising
Jersey Seasearch is a not for profit Marine Conservation group based in Jersey monitoring sub-tidal endangered and rare species. We are working to save endangered species and habitats in the waters around our island. In the last 20 years huge areas have been dredged and over fished. If we do not set up conservation zones quickly many key species will disappear. The group is gathering and processing data in support of proposals and has already had some success but needs funds to continue the programme. We are affiliated to the UK Marine Conservation Society, Seasearch group. The data and information is entered into the National Database and is available for research providing valuable information on species movement and the affects of climate change. We also are developing an education programme Involving young people. Money raised is used to help students train in observation and recording and participate in the scheme helping promote its importance.
It's simple to use and it's free. Since we launched in 2005, we've helped thousands of good causes raise money simply by shopping online. Our community of over 2.1 million loyal supporters has so far raised over £35 million.
