About Global Vision International Volunteer On Childcare Projects Brazil - Katie Abe

From October this year I will be going to Salvador In Brazil and will be working with children from kindergarten and upwards, from the ages of 2-6., concentrating on basic education and literacy. Not only are many of these children from very poor backgrounds but due to overpopulation in urban areas, schools are overcrowded and the student/teacher ratio grows at an alarming rate. Thus the project is in need of volunteers who play a pivotal role in ensuring that many of these children are not forgotten about in the education system. Our help will also help improve education overall within the region.
