Over £35m raised for good causes through easyfundraising
Founded in 2009 and featuring talented young musicians from London’s conservatoires, the London Arts Orchestra (LAO) seeks to engage and connect audiences with orchestral music by collaborating with speakers, storytellers, actors, poets and artists. Founded in 2009, the LAO has completed four seasons of music in venues across the capital and is comprised of talented young musicians from across the London conservatoires. The LAO performs around four-five concerts annually and also gives masterclasses and educational workshops to primary and secondary schools across the London boroughs. Like most orchestras, ticket sales are not enough to allow the orchestra to run and to keep ticket prices at accessible levels. Money raised will go toward keeping concerts inclusive and sustainable, toward maintaining our programme of educational workshops, and toward investing in assets and resources that improve the quality and experience of both our players and our audience.
