Wallacea Transylvania expedition takes place in Romania, specifically in the Tarnava Mare Natura 2000 Region. It is a spectacular array of fauna including the largest populations of brown bears in Europe! Moreover, old traditional farming is still being used in this country. This allows the conciliation between farming and biodiversity. The aim of this expedition is to complete the annual biodiversity survey of the region in order to assess the efficiency of maintaining those practices.
