Founded in 2018, the Lewes Pilot Gig Club brings the joy of traditional gig boat rowing to Sussex. We are a welcoming and accessible club for complete beginners to fanatical rowers. For men and women who want to take part in relaxed rowing for fun, who are looking for a natural, exhilarating way to get fit, or who have the ambition to train seriously to competition level. We hope to grow our club so more people can benefit from the team work and connection to nature that gig rowing provides.
