Karibu! Lake Victoria Disability Centre Scotland (LVDCS) is a registered charity in Scotland who support Lake Victoria Disability Centre (LVDC), a registered NGO in Musoma, Tanzania. LVDC teaches disabled, in particular young people with hearing impairments, practical skills such as carpentry, sewing and dressmaking, metalwork and screen-printing, thereby giving them the opportunity to be independent members of their communities. Since being founded in 2002, LVDC has grown to offer services to the wider community by producing mobility aids such as tricycles for the physically disabled, running weekly sign language classes and holding seminars to educate people with disabilities about their rights.
