About Madison Merrick UK Support

Madison Merrick was born with an abdominal wall defect called Gastroschisis - a serious hernia in which the bowel is on the outside of the body. Surgery was performed immediately following her birth, however, this has proven unsuccessful, and has resulted in Madison having "short gut syndrome". Her intestine is roughly 1/6th the length it should be in a child of her age. Madison desperately needs to undergo a small intestine transplant. This operation is not available in New Zealand. Please join us to raise the funds needed to give Madison a life outside of hospital, where she will be free to enjoy the same things as other children her age.
