Mind in Sedgemoor is working to promote good mental health, with a focus on pre-empting mental health problems through social inclusion. Our specific aims are to help individuals to: Reduce their isolation and distress Increase their self-confidence and self-esteem Develop their skills for self-help and mutual support Increase their awareness and understanding of mental health Influence the way mental health services are planned and delivered To achieve these aims the charity will: Run â€˜Sunny Side Upâ€™, a wellbeing centre which incorporates a cafÃ©, a training room and activity centre and counselling facilities Run Lunch Clubs at appropriate locations in Bridgwater Support other projects promoting good mental health and fostering well being Mind in Sedgemoor involves Friends (Service Users), other Volunteers and members of the community and works in partnership with other relevant organisations.
