World Challenge Malaysia 2017 - Omkar Dixit

We are travelling to Malaysia. This forms part of my application form to my school's requirements: I wish to participate in the expedition to Malaysia as I feel it is an invaluable experience to withhold. Malaysia is a great example of a location which captures the senses in a unique fashion, not only encapsulating prodigiously authentic culture, but also enduring a dependable notion of a historical location worth facing. Other than the obviously articulate skills of wilderness survival, I wish to gain a surplus of knowledge and understanding of outlying regions, which this Challenge will provide me with. This knowledge should entail the feeling of the grief of those in poverty, and feeling the pain of the hard work required to live as them. However, it should also involve the gratification of assisting those in need, and the satisfaction in completion of difficult tasks. As for what I can offer as part of a group; I can offer skills such as the assessment and measures of precaution which one must take in each step of a process. I have provided services from basic first aid to reacting fast to mend a broken nose after a sparring match in Taekwondo. I am the currently the youngest black-belt in Taekwondo within my club: North East Martial Arts (NEMA) and have been for over a year, and have regularly been coaching and grading younger and older students than me each week for far longer than that. I have been practicing Taekwondo for almost 12 years now. This has proven to be of a great enhancement to my leadership qualities and ability to make decisions. I feel I have the ability to calm others down in situations of miscommunication or misunderstanding, and further augment members relationships.
