About this cause

About our cause

I have recently been diagnosed with giant cell artiritis, this is an auto immune disease which affects the arteries in the head and creates all sorts of problems, for example loss of sight. there isn't a lot known about it. I am taking 60mg of steroids at the moment and this will go on for at least 2 years so you can imagine the problems this will cause. My life has changed drastically since I received my diagnosis, I was a very fit healthy 70 year old and did 7 classes a week.
