We are raising money to fund artist-led art workshops in Purbeck Schools. The Purbeck Arts Weeks Festival (PAW) was started in 2001 by a group of local artists and is now a fully rounded festival embracing all the arts. Usually there are around 40 Open Studios during the two week Festival. The Festival’s hub and collective exhibition at Rollington Barn near Corfe Castle has an atmosphere that is distinctly quirky, rural and very Purbeck. Alongside the visual arts, a range of Events, including high quality concerts and talks by local experts, are offered in different venues around Purbeck in the evenings. Purbeck Young Artists (PYA) is one of the most important aspects of PAW as it promotes and celebrates the making of art by young people. Every year PYA organizes a series of artist-led workshops and community projects, generously sponsored by individuals, business and trusts. The results are exhibited in Rollington Barn as part of the Festival.
