Human encroachment on wildlife is a global issue that causes the vast majority of our species extinction. The demographic changes of human population drastically puts pressure on animals, resulting in human wildlife conflict. However in some circumstances animals and people coexist with few issues, such as vervet monkeys in Durban. Can we live side by side with animals without conflict? Can we coexist without exploiting our wildlife? Questions like these are what drives my research in Malawi.
