East African Playgrounds Uganda 2018 - Rosa Alcantara

I am currently trying to fundraise a total of £2600 of which £1,100 goes directly to the charity East African Playgrounds to fund the incredible work they do. It will be used by them to build and maintain playgrounds all over Uganda, including in refugee camps, to allow the children a chance to have fun and escape from their harsh reality. In addition £300 will go to the Ugandan Wildlife Authority which they will use for the conservation of the only population of Silver-back gorillas left in the wild. The rest will go towards my travel, food and accomodation while Im in Uganda but also some money will go to support the many communities that I will be treking through. Examples of what your donation will go fund are: £10 - builds a toy giraffe that the children in the community can play with. £20 - builds a motorbike out of tires, allowing the children to develop their imaginations through role playing. £20 - funds safety equipment for the diadvantaged young adults that work for East African playgrounds in Uganda, so that they can stay safe whilst doing important work for the charity. £50 - builds a table to allow the children to play board games like snake and ladders, a luxury a lot of them couldnt even imagine. Its proven that play has an important role in the cognative, social and physical development of a child so please give generously to this fantastic cause and give the children of Uganda the chance at a childhood like yours, full of fun, creativity and most of all happiness.
