About RSPCA Westmorland

The RSPCA Westmorland Branch works to promote kindness and prevent and suppress cruelty to animals throughout area of the old County Boundary of Westmorland . Our Branch is a separate charity, a Branch of the National RSPCA but, resp onsible for its own fundraising. We support the work of the RSPCA Inspectorate and have a Branch Kennel, Cattery and small furries unit within this local area. All animals are vaccinated, micro chipped and neutered before they are re homed, which all adds to our ongoing costs. We try to promote responsible pet ownership by offering a microchipping service and also financially assist towards the cost of neutering and emergency Veterinary treatment for pets whose owners are in receipt of certain benefits, We receive no Government funding. The RSPCA only exist because of public donations.
