RTS is a collection of symptoms caused by a chromosomal (chromosome 16) Defect. The main symptoms are: delayed development milestones; a learning disability of varying degree; broad, sometimes angulated, thumbs and big toes and characteristic non-hereditary facial feature. The RTS Support Group's aim is always to offer support to families and carers; to bring about public awareness of both the Syndrome and the Support Group; to provide information about the condition and to raise funds for the Support Group to arrange family day events, family weekends, provide an RTS newsletter.
