About our cause

The Rushcliffe Basketball Programme was founded in 1968 by an-ex Nottingham boxer Fred Wingfield. Head Coach Jimmy “Jumpshot” Smith joined Fred in 1977 until his retirement from the club in the summer of 2021. Rushcliffe Phoenix Basketball Club continues with Coach Li?a and Coach Ash, who have been involved with Rushcliffe Basketball in previous years. Rushcliffe staff provide a friendly, well-structured environment for development and competition for players of all ages.
