The SOC aims to promote the study and enjoyment of Scotland's wild birds. It does this through its publications, social media, events, talks and outings programmes, training courses to nurture ornithologists, research grants, and supporting Scotland's network of bird recorders whose data informs bird conservation. Thanks to donations, the SOC recently launched its free award-winning mobile app, Where to Watch Birds in Scotland as a way to encourage an interest in birds among the general public.
It's simple to use and it's free. Since we launched in 2005, we've helped thousands of good causes raise money simply by shopping online. Our community of over 1.8 million loyal supporters has so far raised over £31 million.
