Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs provides support to family members and friends affected by the substance misuse of a relative or loved one and raises awareness of the issues affecting them. In 2003 families united to raise awareness of life changing difficulties faced as a result of a loved one misusing substances. Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol & Drugs is now the hub for a network of family support groups across Scotland providing information and direct support through the website and free helpline. The vision of Scottish Families is a Scotland which recognises and supports the needs of families affected by substance misuse and the crucial role families play in the recovery journey.
