Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity

Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) was established in March 2011 to help fundraise for important work both home and abroad. The organisation raises funds and educates visitors about species which are threatened with extinction, and also plays a major role in providing funds for the on-site Hedgehog Hospital. Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity (SWCC) aims: •To improve animal welfare and the conservation of British fauna and flora. •To improve animal welfare and conservation of fauna and flora of endangered species around the world. •To educate the general public about British fauna and flora, endangered species around the world and the local environment. •To provide grants to individuals and organisations to allow them to further the aims shown above. SWCC will achieve these aims through our charitable objects: TO ADVANCE FOR THE PUBLIC BENEFIT: (A) THE PREVENTION OR SUPPRESSION OF CRUELTY TO ANIMALS OR THE PREVENTION OR RELIEF OF SUFFERING OF ANIMALS (FALLING WITHIN THE DESCRIPTION OF CHARITABLE PURPOSES SET OUT IN PART 1 OF THE CHARITIES ACT 2006 BEING THE ADVANCEMENT OF ANIMAL WELFARE) (B) THE CONSERVATION OF WILDLIFE (IN PARTICULAR BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE CONSERVATION OF ENDANGERED SPECIES) AND THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (C) EDUCATION IN PARTICULAR IN ANIMAL WELFARE, IN BRITISH FLORA AND FAUNA, IN ENDANGERED SPECIES AROUND THE WORLD AND THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT (IN PARTICULAR THE LOCAL NATURAL ENVIRONMENT)
