Over £32m raised for good causes through easyfundraising
Solway Riders is a cycling club based in West Cumbria that participates in annual sponsored cycle rides raising money for good causes. Since we were founded we have raised over £35,000 for a local hospital, air ambulance, guide dogs and inshore rescue and other local good causes. In August 2011 5 cyclists cycled Lands End to John o Groats. A grand total of £3,500 was raised! The funds have been split between North West Air Ambulance, Guide dogs for the Blind, a local youth group for young adults with learning difficulties and a very brave little girl from Maryport, Cumbria. Lillie Mai Jackson is almost 1 year old. Earlier in 2011 she lost both legs and one arm after contracting meningitis. The cyclists are delighted with the amount raised and would like to thank everyone who sponsored them.
