About Sheffield Scimitars Ice Hockey Academy U12B

Junior Ice Hockey for team and individual development for young people up to age 18 years. There are approximately 31 junior clubs within England and Wales. Clubs are usually managed by parental volunteers or others who are interested in the sport. Teams are entered into leagues depending on where they are based, North, Midlands, South East and South West. These regions are called Conferences. At the end of the season, which usually runs from beginning of September to the end of March, the winners of each age group league compete in the National Junior Finals. During the season teams can also take part in challenge games where they compete against a team that, perhaps, they do not meet in the league, they can also take part in tournaments both at home and abroad. To stage or enter tournaments fundraising takes place throughout the season to raise the money.
