St Mary the Virgin is the parish church for Grafton Regis, a small village in Northamptonshire with historic royal links - it is birthplace of Elizabeth Woodville “The White Queen”, who married Edward IV here in 1464. The village came under royal ownership and their descendants including Henry VIII and Elizabeth I often visited their hunting lodge here. Funds are needed to keep the church church open and to restore important medieval tomb of Elizabeth’s grandfather, Sir John Woodville.
