About this cause

About our cause

Storming the Nations was birthed out of a prophetic dream and word that God gave to Rob Joy back in 2008. Rob had been preaching the gospel in various places whilst still serving as a intern to his pastors in Newcastle/Sunderland. One night after preaching in London the Lord visited Rob in the early hours with a powerful dream and vision for the UK and beyond. In the dream a secular news reporter was announcing some 'breaking news' to the nation of Great Britain - 'A holiness movement is literally storming the nations' she reported and Rob woke up weeping over the nations and the calling God had placed on his life. "The Lord told me many things that night during my early morning encounter and I knew there and then that I had a life's work ahead of me and a great responsibility to pray about. I knew I was being called to the nations of the world to preach Gods word and to rescue the lost, whilst bringing a message of holiness, revival and fire to the bride of Christ. I prayed a lot and held this vision close to my heart until 2009 when I was told by my pastor I was going to be released and commissioned to GO and begin my own ministry. There and then I dropped everything else and went to work on the practical side of things whilst trusting God to open doors, and open them He did" Many invites began to come in and great reports and testimonies seemed to follow as God really did save, heal and deliver His people. Over a 2 year period God began to bring a team together and place Rob around men who would encourage him and believe in his calling. Storming the Nations represents Gods heart for the lost and Gods passion for a revived and holy church world wide. Whilst focusing on the UK more doors have suddenly started to open and invites as far as Africa have come. Robs passion is to preach Gods word, write books revealing the nature of God and to raise up others into ministry and destiny. Storming the Nations has a secure base in the South of England and a team of trustees and accountability partners to provide covering and support. Rob and Lydia Joy are members of a thriving Elim church and have the full backing of senior leader Dominic De Souza. Our vision is primarily revival, a social and cultural change to our land for the glory of God, rescuing sinners and raising up those who will go out in like mind and see Christlike change in their sphere of influence. We are passionate about Jesus and His church and love to worship Him and live entirely for Him. What else is there to live for?
