About Stockport Wheelchair Racing
A wheelchair racing club set up 5/6 years ago with one member now we have 12 members and are promoting the sport by going into schools. The club are attached to Stockport Harriers but are totally separate where finances are concerned. We are looking to buy large items like an indoor training venue and a minibus. The athletes range from 8 to 40, several of who are ranked in the top 4 within the UK and 2 ranked in the top 10 in the world. One of our athletes gained her British vest this year and we are hoping that she and others will do the same in future seasons.
