About Sue Ryder Manorlands Hospice

Serving the population of Bradford, Airedale and Craven, Sue Ryder Care – Manorlands Hospice at Oxenhope opened in 1974 and provides specialist palliative care for patients with cancer and other life limiting illnesses such as motor neurone disease and multiple sclerosis. As well as enabling people to spend their final days free of pain, our hospice care services reach out into the community through teams of specially trained nurses, carers, social workers and doctors who care for people in their own homes. In addition to specialist medical care, we offer a wide range of therapies and activities including complementary therapies. We have a 16 bed in-patient Unit, a Day Therapy Unit, a Community Specialist Palliative Care Team and our service is holistic, caring for not just our patients but their families and friends too through our bereavement and counselling services.
