About Student Volunteers Abroad (SVA) - Uganda
SVA Uganda is a brand new project this year running with Student Volunteers Abroad (SVA). SVA Uganda will be taking seven volunteers out to work in June 2011 for 8 weeks. The volunteers will be building much needed water tanks, water wells and smokeless stoves and in addition to this, they will be teaching ultimately life-saving health and hygiene techniques that help to prevent water borne diseases. SVA Uganda needs to fundraise a total of approximately £4900 to buy materials to carry out this work. This money will go directly to the cause in conjunction with our parnter Little Big Africa and does not include the flights, injections and personal expenditure of the volunteers.
