About UCLU Sign Language Society
The society provides certified British Sign Language (BSL) Level 1 to its members at a subsidised rate in order to encourage more students to learn. Those who have been certified go on to teach free classes to other members of the society, volunteer in Frank Barnes School for Deaf Children, run a Sign Language Club for hearing children in Leyton Sixth Form College and engage with the deaf community in London through social events.
