About Viva Arts & Community Group

Viva Youth Theatre was established in 1997 to provide arts provision and training to all young people aged 9 –19 years regardless of their ability, situation or circumstance. Since Viva was formed it has become a larger charity called the Viva Arts & Community Group and has expanded to include a charity shop and community centre. The charity shop supports the work of Viva Youth Theatre. The Viva Centre is a former chapel building linking community facilities, information, advice and learning delivery within a ‘one-stop shop’ town setting, creating the only non-statutory based provision in the area. The Centre is a true community resource open to all the community and run on its behalf by Viva.
