Our mission is to provide full support to children with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties (EBD)and their families. EBD is a term used to cover all sorts of behaviour patterns from low level, short term problems, to complex, long term ones. It is an umbrella term which simply means that the root of a person\'s problem is emotionally base (ADHD, Autism, Asperger, Bi-pola with additional difficulties).rnIn September 2007, my own son became an outcast from our society due to his sudden change of behaviour from being happy and confident child to one withdrawn and suffering from extreme low self esteem and mood swings to name a few. To my astonishment nobody was able to help Benjamin and least of all me. I was suddenly thrown inot the unknown and desperately trying to find out what was happening to my child as a parent would do. This is real life and many children are rejected because of their difficulties. We need to turn their lives around and this can not be done without some passion, commitment and dedication. Within our charity we support the provision of full time education within the city of Southampton, Hampshire. We operate from Vermont school, which itself provides a safe and secure environment for primary children with mental health issues. Our commitment to succeed often goes beyond the call of duty within the sector of Education in the city. Our projects include:*fundraising events to acquire a school mini-bus* Providing support and training to families *Assisting families with the provision of necessary household goods *Providing holidays play-scheme and pre and after-school activities *Creating and developing perception towards children whose behaviour manifests many challenges. We are aware that this is a difficult time for everyone financially, however we will appreciate any help you are able to offer us at the moment.
