About Whickham Hermitage Community Garden
Our beautiful Victorian walled garden has been lovingly renewed by dedicated volunteers. There's a collection of plants some familiar, some very unusual, a tearoom, a wildlife pond (home to Black East Indian ducks). We also have birds, rabbits, a children's playhouse and fairy village for little visitors. New projects are in development - including a Sensory Garden. This free-to-use garden is wheelchair accessible. Our charity, run by volunteers is responsible for raising all its own funds.
