About Woodlands Academy Scarborough
The Woodlands Academy is a special needs academy for pupils aged 2 to 16 who have a range of special educational needs. The majority have moderate learning difficulties with an increasing number having severe learning difficulties. In addition, the majority of the population in the academy have communication difficulties with around 80% being on the Autistic Spectrum. There are also some pupils with behaviour, sensory difficulties and medical diagnoses. (taken from the school's website)
