A group of 6th form students are travelling to Zambia to work with students at Libala High School in Lusaka. The two groups of students will be planning a programme of activities that they will take into the local Primary schools to promote sport, team building and the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. They will make equipment from recycled items and compile a set of activity cards that the teachers will be able to use with their young children to give them the experience and benefits of an active and healthy life. This programme focusses on the environmental benefits of making equipment from recycled rubbish and supports the development of a quality PE programme for young children which they currently do not have. This programme has the potential to affect thousands of young Zambian children in a positive and active way. We need help to raise £20,000 to support our visit and the production of the resources.
